Cubase System 4 (the first in a series of products in the new Steinberg Media Solutions range) is a virtual music production studio in the shape of Cubase SL 2.0 sequencer with its new MI4 USB audio interface at one low price, providing a cross-platform recording, editing, and mixing solution. It offers Steinberg's latest VST 2.3 audio engine, full latency compensation, a customizable mixer featuring FX return channels, professional automation and a range of VST effects and instruments. Precision-engineered and built in Germany, the new MI4 USB audio/MIDI hardware offers some powerful features including 4 inputs and outputs, Hi-Z instrument input, and quality microphone preamps with selectable 48v phantom power. The MI4 USB audio/MIDI hardware also incorporates a 16-channel MIDI interface, S/PDIF digital I/O, effects inserts.
