Roland G-70 version 2 Music workstation The original G-70 can be updated to Version 2 via download (or you can ask your Roland Service Center) by Roland SR-G01 Upgrade Kit euro ------,00 Roland G-70 version 2 With over 20 new features and 10 new Music Styles (plus 10 Music Assistant registrations) Version 2 new features includes the introduction of the Guitar Mode, the possibility to assign any Tone or Drum sets of an Expansion Board to Song and Style Tracks, the Style Converter and many other improvements. New features *Guitar Mode *Expansion Sounds in Styles and Songs *Style Converter *Piano Roll editing in 16-Track Sequencer and User Style Composer modes for a clearer idea of which track plays what. *Customization of the Melody Intelligent Tone: the Tone the Melody Intelligence function adds to the chosen harmonization can now be freely selected Expansion sounds in Styles and Songs OS version 2 allows you to assign any Tone or Drum Set of an installed expansion board (option) to Song and Style tracks. It even provides an Auto Sync function for perfect tempo matching of any loop or phrase you select from that board. Vocal Harmonist Midi Control (16-Track Sequencer) Several new functions have been added to the 16-Track Sequencer environment, the most important being the possibility to record Vocal Harmonist data. The Vocal Harmonist has become MIDI-savvy and so can be controlled from an external device if you need the keyboard for other things. This cutting-edge function provides several down- and up-stroke patterns, realistic muting and other guitar techniques, all controllable from the G-70’s keyboard. The G-70’s Guitar Mode is so authentic, it will take your (and your audience’s) breath away! The Guitar Mode is also an invaluable programming tool for live-feel guitar phrases in your Standard MIDI Files and Music Styles (available in 16-Track Sequencer and the User Style Composer modes). Style Converter Turn any Standard MIDI File into a fully functional Music Style. The G-70’s Style Converter is an easy and intuitive tool for creating your own Music Styles based on one of your own Songs or a Standard MIDI File created by someone else. Make Up Tools Freeze Function It allows you to save your Song and Style changes for universal SMF compatibility, and more flexible Song and Style editing. Arranger settings Melody Intelligence This function has become more flexible: selecting a Harmony Type also means that the G-70 automatically assigns a suitable sound to the Melody Intelligent part (examle : a trumpet and sax sounds for Big Band, etc.). By default, the G-70 automatically loads the Melody Intelligent type that is suited for the Styles you select. Roland SR-G01 Upgrade Kit Drum Kits & Drum Loops The SR-G01 contains 6 new Drum Kits and 11 Drum Loops. Thanks to the G-70’s Auto Sync capability (one of the new features of the OS system version 2), the audio loops on the SR-G01 run in sync with any in 16-Track Sequencer Song and Music Style you assign them to. Since these loops are audio, player's subtle dynamics and groove feels are captured. The addition of audio phrases constitutes a major leap forward for the entire Arranger Keyboard world. Roland’s Sounds The SR-G01 is a special selection of sounds picked from the Roland library for Arranger Keyboard Users. Apart from a selection derived from the SRX-series wave expansion boards, it also sports all-new waveforms. Tones list  OS Version 2 included The SR-G01 package contains the G-70 OS Version 2 updater, thus allowing users of previous G-70 versions to use the full potential of this new board. (Installing OS version 2 is mandatory for the use of the SR-G01.) 30 new Music Styles included The SR-G01 comes with new 30 Music Styles (based on the SR-G01’s sound set), complete with Music Assistant registrations. Furthermore, the SR-G01 also enhances the 10 additional Styles and as many User Programs registrations bundled with G-70 Version 2.
