LA TECNOLOGIA Il pianoforte digitale professionale PRO MEGA3 è la prima concreta applicazione della nuova tecnologia proprietaria, DRAKE (Dsp Risc Advanced Keyboard Engine), uno tra i DSP per applicazioni musicali più avanzato al mondo. La potenza di calcolo di questo processore, grazie alla struttura interna 32 bits 50 Mips ed alla architettura totalmente configurabile via software, consente l'implementazione di qualsiasi tipo d'algoritmo, sia di generazione sia di post-processamento: dalle Wave Table al Physical Modelling in tempo reale.
IL CONTROLLO Questa avanzata tecnologia consente al PRO MEGA3 prestazioni altamente innovative in termini di polifonia, generazione sonora, qualità audio e interfaccia uomo/macchina. L'idea di base del progetto è quella di riunire queste elevate prestazioni in uno strumento estremamente facile da utilizzare, applicando e modernizzando i concetti già presenti in gloriose macchine "Vintage", dove ogni funzione era attivata o controllata per mezzo di un singolo tasto o cursore. Ecco quindi la presenza a bordo di 5 Moving faders, 6 Virtual-Pots, 7 LCD display ed 8 EQ-Bars, che consentono di tenere costantemente sotto controllo la situazione operativo sullo strumento, grazie anche alla possibilità di aggiornare la loro posizione ad ogni richiamo di un Preset. LA GENERAZIONE: I MODELLI FISICI REALTIME 4 sezioni completamente indipendenti e miscelabili forniscono una generazione realmente multisintesi su uno strumento di questa categoria (Pianos, Vintage Keys, Orchestra/Pads, Bass/Other). Sono stati immagazzinati sul PRO MEGA3 fino a 128 Mb di campioni stereo per fornire allo strumento il database sonoro in PCM. Ma la vera innovazione consiste nell'implementazione della generazione per modelli fisici in tempo reale, che consente di riprodurre in modo estremamente realistico, i migliori timbri di piano elettrico Rhodes, Wurlitzer e Clavinet. Grazie ad algoritmi di nuova concezione, sviluppati in collaborazione con l'università di Padova, questo sistema di generazione è in grado di emulare tutte le caratteristiche meccaniche ed elettriche del modello reale, come per esempio la massa ed il materiale delle lamelle risonanti del Rhodes, oppure la massa, le dimensioni ed il materiale del suo martello, consentendo di definire con estrema precisione i dati fisici di ogni elemento, come la distanze e le velocità. Inoltre, l'elevata capacità di elaborazione di DRAKE permette la loro applicazione in tempo reale, con capacità di articolazione polifonica per ogni sezione praticamente totale, consentendo allo strumento una polifonia di 320 note. GLI EFFETTI La generazione viene integrata da una potente sezione di post-processing che ha consentito di perfezionare ulteriormente gli algoritmi GEM di modellazione fisica già noti, come il Damper Physical Model, il Natural String Resonance, l'Avanced Release Technology; integrati da una sezione dotata di 15 Riverberi e 15 Effetti e da un potente Equalizzatore Grafico Digitale a 8 Bande, completamente programmabile. CONNESSIONI E FUNZIONI MASTER Fino a 64 Presets possono essere facilmente creati e richiamati dallo strumento, con la possibilità di evolute funzioni Master Keyboard, grazie anche alla tastiera dotata di Aftertouch e alle Wheels per il Pitch bend e la Modulation. Una completa serie di connessioni bilanciate e sbilanciate, consente infine la connessione dello strumento nelle situazioni d'impiego professionali più tipiche, dallo Stage allo studio di registrazione, consentendo sempre il massimo delle prestazioni in termini di dinamica e resa sonora.  TECHNOLOGY The professional digital piano PRO MEGA3 is the first application of DRAKE proprietary technology. DRAKE (Dsp Risk Advanced Keyboard Engine) is one of the DSP more advanced in music software in the world. Thanks to its 32-bit and 50-Mips internal structure and to its totally programmable software architecture, this processor can implement any kind of algorhythm (from Wave Table to Physical Modelling) in real time, either in generation or in post-processing. CONTROL This advanced technology brings PRO MEGA3 to great achievements in poliphony, sound generation, sound quality and user interface. The very concept at the basis of the project is to unite high performance in an easy-to-operate machine. PRO MEGA3 user interface takes its inspiration from celebrated "Vintage" instruments whose single functions were controlled by a single slider or key. Pro Mega3 has 5 moving faders, e 6 Virtual-Pots (Virtual Potentiometers), 7 LCD and 8 EQ-bars to keep the overall operation under control: the "real" status can be updated or restored at any time by recalling a Preset. GENERATION: PHYSICAL MODELLING IN REALTIME 4 completely independent and mixable sections offer a truly multisynthesis generation available on an instrument of this class (Pianos, Vintage Keys, Orchestra/Pads, Bass/Other). Up to 128 Mb of stereo samples can be stored to PRO MEGA3 memory to provide a database of PCM Sounds. The authentic innovation consists of the implementation of the sound generation by physical models, in real time. In other words, it is possible to reproduce electric piano sounds such as Rhodes, Wurlitzer or Clavinet. Every action or electric feature in the model can be emulated (such as the weight or mass of the tone bars in the Rhodes, or the weight and size of its hammer). Physical data, like distance and speed, can be defined with extreme precision using new-concept algorhythms developed in collaboration with the University of Padua (Italy). DRAKE's high calculating speed then process data to real-time application, articulating the poliphony to each section and achieving 320 note overall poliphony. EFFECTS The sound generation is integrated with a post-processing section, where the GEM-conceived sound processing algorhythms (such as Damper Physical Modelling, Natural String Resonance and Advanced Release Technology) have been perfected and enriched by a 15 Reverb + 15 Effect section, equalized by a fully programmable 8-band digital graphic EQ. CONNECTIONS AND MASTER FUNCTIONS Up to 64 presets can be easily created and recalled from the instrument memory. The on-board aftertouch control and Pitch bend and Modulation wheels offer the features of higly evolved Master Keyboard. A complete series of balanced and unbalanced connections make the instrument as versatile as possible in any professional situation. Whether in a recording studio or on a stage, the dynamic and sound performance will never be less than the maximum.
